Wakefield Regional Council is committed to working with the community to prepare for emergencies, act when required and support any recovery efforts.

We will do this with other agencies, in a coordinated way, always seeking to ensure the needs of local property owners, residents and businesses are met.

Our Emergency Management Plan

Across South Australia there are a range of disasters, including natural disasters such as bushfires, storms, heatwaves and floods that can have significant effects on people’s health and wellbeing along with severe impacts on communities, social, environmental and economic structures.
 
This is a concise summary of the Yorke and MidNorth Zone Emergency Management Plan (ZEMP)which provides information on natural disasters and hazards identified as having a specificrelationship to the Yorke and Mid North Zone.
