ANZAC Day Commemoration

Print Page
Wakefield Regional Council would like to acknowledge and remember all the Australian servicemen and women who fought and served in all wars, conflicts and peace operations in the past hundred years, including Gallipoli and the Western Front.

ANZAC day is a day when we acknowledge and pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Australia’s service men and women over the past century.

The sacrifice of those who fell on Gallipoli’s shores and in the trenches of the Western Front tell a story of courage, mateship, being up against unspeakable odds, and evoke memories of a time when loyalty to ‘King and Country’ was tested.
