Roadworks on Balaklava Road & Traeger Road

As part of the Upper Yorke Peninsula Regional Road Network Upgrade Program, 10kms of shoulder sealing on Balaklava & Traeger Road will commence on Monday 15 May,

As part of the Upper Yorke Peninsula Regional Road Network Upgrade Program, the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) have arranged contractors to carry out approximately 10kms of shoulder sealing on Balaklava Road (between Port Wakefield and Auburn) and Traeger Road (between Hoskin Corner Road and Pinery Road).

Widening of Traeger Road at the junction with Owen Road will also be undertaken to make it safer for vehicles travelling north to pass stationery vehicles preparing to turn right.

These works will occur between the hours of 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 7am to 2pm Saturday.

The road will remain open to traffic with a 25km/h speed restriction in place while workers are on site. Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) will make every effort to minimise impacts and will ensure that access to properties will be maintained through the works.
