Country Cabinet in Balaklava

Premier Jay Weatherill and Cabinet Ministers are visiting Balaklava and Clare in early April as part of the State Government ‘Country Cabinet’ initiative, and members of the public are encouraged to voice their opinions on a topic of their choice.
Community members have the option to either arrange a one-on-one meeting with a Minister or attend a local community function.
Mayor Rodney Reid said, “The Country Cabinet initiative is truly fantastic, it provides an opportunity for country residents to be heard, feel a sense of inclusion, and for the Ministers to connect with regional communities.”
To arrange a one-on-one meeting with a Minister; online registrations are required by 5pm Monday 13 March at www.yoursay.sa.gov.au.
Alternatively members of the public can attend a community function. Country Cabinet will host an afternoon tea from 2pm-3pm on Tuesday 4 April at the Balaklava Racing Club. Furthermore, a Community BBQ & Public Form will be hosted at the Clare Town Hall on Monday 3 April from 5.30pm-6.30pm.
Country Cabinet is a State Government initiative with an aim for the Premier and Cabinet Ministers to visit three regions per year until 2017.
